How can I deliver my negatives?
You can deliver your negatives by post or drop them by personally in our head office in Cologne or Dortmund or even in one of our 80 Access points.
Does it even make sense to have old negatives scanned?
Yes, indeed, the older your negatives are, the more it makes sense to scan them before it’s too late! With our additional services such as dry cleaning or Premium-inversion using raw data, you can obtain excellent results.
In which file format will my digitized negatives be saved?
By default, we save your digitised negatives in JPEG format. For special requirements, we can also store them in TIFF format.
In what resolution will my negatives be scanned?
Depending on your desired quality level, we can scan your negatives in 4,250, 5,000 or 6,200 dpi.
Do I get back a digital negative or an inverted negative?
You will get back your negatives inverted.
How should I package my negatives?
Envelopes or sleeves are the most suitable packaging.
Is it better to scan negatives or photos?
In most cases, it’s better to scan the negative because we can achieve a higher resolution in the resulting image.
Should I remove the paper strips from the negatives?
No! We’ll take care of that in the scanning process.
Should I clean my negatives before scanning?
We absolutely recommend a cleaning. You can either do this yourself or let us do it professionally for a little extra charge.
Is it possible to only scan selected negatives?
No, MEDIAFIX will scan all the negatives on a strip.

IMPORTANT: Without the signed order form we can’t process your order! You can send us your package by post. When your order is finished, we will of course return your negatives.
Can you scan undeveloped negatives?
We do not digitize undeveloped negatives. You can develop your films at photography shops. Once your negatives are developed, we can digitize them.
